I painted this the a new Mustang color. I spent hours on the hood, it flew open when the customer drove home, This pic was taken after the new hood was re-painted.
64 T-Bird
This car sold for $4500.00 in 64, a lot of money back then.When I look at the picture I think of how heavy the door panels were and how I warped the deck lid with the heat lamp.
I did this in the early 80's.It took a year to do the body work,the whole car was covered in bondo.I painted it in black laquer.I remember Gary Brown (I worked at his shop) and I putting in the windshield.It took hours. We finally realized that the windshield opening was an inch lower on one side.We were covered in sweat and proud of ourselves when we finished( it didn't break). In the morning it had a half inch crack in it.
A Camaro I bought in the mid-90's. It had a 327 and 4 Spd. I drove it home a couple of times and sold it, I thought it was a Turd.
A 67 Chevelle I did in a year ago ( its 01 now ).I did complete paint with new chrome and new interior. Sold it before I could drive it.
